The cookies and browser storage used on Neuropen Australia, what they do and how to control them.

Essential storage only. The Neuropen storefront does not run analytics, advertising pixels or remarketing tools. There are currently no optional cookie categories to switch on.

1. Cookies and similar storage

A cookie is a small record stored by your browser that can be sent back to a website with a request. Local storage also remembers information on your device, but it is not automatically sent with every request. Session storage holds information for a browser tab’s session.

We use these technologies for functions you request, such as remembering a cart, and to save your cookie preference. This policy forms part of our Privacy Statement.

2. Storage used by the storefront

Storage	Purpose	Duration
Saved cart `neuropen-cart-v1`	Local storage containing product identifiers and quantities. It contains no contact, health or card details.	Until your cart is cleared or your browser clears site data. No automatic expiry.
Cookie preference `neuropen-cookie-preferences-v1`	Local storage recording an essential-only choice and when it was saved. Saving it does not consent to future tracking.	Recognised for 180 days. The record remains until replaced or browser site data is cleared.
Checkout attempt `neuropen-checkout-attempt` `neuropen-checkout-cart`	Session storage to recognise a checkout attempt and its cart if checkout is active. It helps prevent duplicate requests and match a completed checkout to the cart.	For the tab’s session, unless removed earlier. Not created while checkout is unavailable.
Checkout verification `__Host-np-checkout`	A secure, HTTP-only cookie used to verify that a payment-status request belongs to your checkout session, if payment is active.	Up to 24 hours. Not set while checkout is unavailable.

Online payments are currently unavailable. The checkout entries above describe storage reserved for the payment flow; they are not set by browsing or adding products to a cart.

3. Hosting and access cookies

Our hosting and security services may use additional cookies to protect the website or manage access when sign-in is required. These are separate from the storefront storage listed above and are controlled by the hosting provider. Their names and lifetimes can vary with the access or security check.

See the OpenAI Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy for those services. This website’s preference panel cannot change cookies on another provider’s domain.

5. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the storage used by this website changes. If optional tracking is introduced, we will explain it and ask for a new choice before it runs. An essential-only preference saved today will never be treated as permission for new analytics or advertising.
