Two different aspects of sensation
The monofilament end assesses touch and pressure sensation. The Neurotip end supports sharpness assessment. Each test provides information for the clinician to interpret within the patient’s examination.

For healthcare professionals trained in sensory assessment, including podiatrists, GPs, practice nurses and diabetes-care teams working within their scope of practice. Sensory testing can form part of diabetes foot checks and a wider clinical examination.
Keep the pen and replenish your supplies
The body is reusable and the monofilament is replaceable. Use a new Neurotip for each use. Follow the supplied instructions for fitting, cleaning, care and replacement.

Before you order
Do I need different supplies for each test?
Yes. The pressure test uses the monofilament; the sharpness test uses a Neurotip fitted to the pen.
Can I order replacement parts?
Yes. Neuropen 10 g monofilaments are available in boxes of five and Neurotips in boxes of 100.
Does Neuropen provide a complete diagnosis?
No. Sensory findings should be interpreted by a trained clinician alongside the patient’s history, circulation and other examination findings.
